Two Saudi officers arrested in Syria

Syrian security forces have arrested two Saudi military officers who were in connection with Saudi intelligence services and cooperated with terrorist groups in Syria.

These two officers were arrested along with some other armed rebels during clashes in central al-Raqqa city.

The Saudi officers confessed that they were taking orders from Bandar Bin Sultan, a family member of Al Saud as well as the intelligence chief of Saudi Arabia.

Syrian Army Arrests Saudi Spies

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Syrian army on Friday arrested three Saudi intelligence officers who were engaged in terrorist activities in Syria.

“The Syrian army arrested three intelligence agents affiliated to the Saudi intelligence service headed by Bandar bin Sultan,” sources said in an interview with the Lebanese al-Manar weekly on Wednesday.

The apprehended spies have confessed that their mission was contacting Israeli intelligence officials to provide them with intelligence reports on Syria’s vital sites and centers.

The Saudi officers revealed that one of the assistants of Bandar bin Sultan has traveled to al-Qusseir city and held meetings with the ringleaders of the terrorist groups in the region, adding that he is the same guy who heads the arms smuggling network into Syria

The reported Saudi supplies began shortly before its main Western ally the United States announced it would likely send arms to Syrian rebels, a development long encouraged by Riyadh.

Top Saudi princes have been shuttling from one ally to another in recent weeks for meetings about Syria.

The epicenter of this activity was Paris, visited by Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef in May, intelligence chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan and Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal this month.

LOL! Yes, After President Bush Al Saud ‘liberated” the Iraqi people and destroyed Iraq’s non-existant Nuclear Program, President Obama Al Saud has this advice for the Iraqi people as Saudi Arabia takes over from war weary used up American troops on the ground leaving……

“The United States will do our part, but understand that ultimately, it’s up to the Iraqis, as a sovereign nation, to solve their problems,” Obama told reporters at the White House.

A sovereign nation who’s President says……

Iraqi PM Maliki says Saudi, Qatar openly funding violence in Anbar

Maliki said in a mid-February speech that Saudi Arabia and Qatar were offering money to recruit fighters in Fallujah.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has accused Saudi Arabia and Qatar of openly funding the Sunni Muslim insurgents his troops are battling in western Anbar province, in his strongest such statement since fighting started there early this year.

“I accuse them of inciting and encouraging the terrorist movements. I accuse them of supporting them politically and in the media, of supporting them with money and by buying weapons for them,” he told France 24 television late on Saturday.

“I accuse them of leading an open war against the Iraqi government. I accuse them of openly hosting leaders of al Qaeda and Takfirists (extremists),” he said in the interview when asked about possible Saudi and Qatari links to the violence.

He accused the Saudi government of allowing “commissions” there “to attract Jihadists, to lure them, to get them fighting in Iraq”.

He also blamed both countries for launching Syria’s three-year civil war through al Qaeda-linked groups that now operate on both sides of the Iraqi-Syrian border, next to Anbar.

“They are attacking Iraq through Syria indirectly. They absolutely started the war in Iraq, they started the war in Syria,” Maliki said. ISIL has been one of the biggest fighting forces in Syria’s civil war.

“Saudi Arabia supports terrorism against the world, Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Libya.”

In a wide-ranging interview, Prince Nawwaf bin Abdul Aziz, the kingdom’s director of the intelligence service, also acknowledged that after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, the vast majority of Saudi young adults felt considerable sympathy for the cause of the Saudi-born terrorist Osama bin Laden, even though they rejected the attacks in New York and Washington.

A classified American intelligence report taken from a Saudi intelligence survey in mid-October of educated Saudis between the ages of 25 and 41 concluded that 95 percent of them supported Mr. bin Laden’s cause, according to a senior administration official with access to intelligence reports.

Prince Nawwaf confirmed the existence of the survey but did not specify the level of support.

On A War with Iraq and Hussein’s overthrow…..

”If you succeed, you will divide Iraq into three parts,” he said. Iraq would be splintered into a Shiite Muslim-run government in the south, a Kurdish-run government in the north and a Sunni-Muslim run government in the center, he said, adding, ”I don’t think America will support that.”

Embassy cable written shortly after Obama took office – released by wikileaks:

Subject Saudi Intelligence Chief Talks Regional Security With Brennan Delegation
Origin Embassy Riyadh (Saudi Arabia)
Cable time Sun, 22 Mar 2009 08:43 UTC

HRH Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, head of Saudi Arabia’s external intelligence agency, the General Intelligence Presidency (GIP), hosted Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counter Terrorism John Brennan March 15 to discuss counter terrorism cooperation and regional security issues.

The meeting reaffirmed close U.S.-Saudi security ties and served to reassure the Saudis that the new administration will maintain these ties.

CT COOPERATION: To open the meeting, Brennan complimented U.S.-Saudi counter terrorism cooperation and thanked the Saudis on behalf of the President for their support.

STILL UNEASY ON IRAQ: When Brennan asked Muqrin if he was hopeful about Iraq, the Prince joked that Iraq is “a nice
story.” In a refrain repeated later by the King, Muqrin said the Kingdom warned the previous U.S. administration that Iraq
would be “a swamp…easy to go in, hard to get out…with high casualties…and al-Qaeda will be there.” But, he felt,
Saudi advice was not heeded. When asked about sending a Saudi Ambassador to Iraq, Muqrin repeated the Kingdom,s
standard reply about security concerns, asking “How much is an ambassador,s life worth?” (Comment: The Saudi reluctance
to send an Ambassador to Baghdad likely has more to do with the King,s distaste for PM Nuri al-Maliki than with security. End Comment)

FINAL ADVICE: The Prince complimented the President: “I like his attitude.” “But,” he added, “he’ll meet the facts later.” He cautioned, “many people are not as good-hearted as he is.” Muqrin guaranteed that the Saudis would provide advice and consultation on regional issues. “We give our friends anything they need.”

Islamic State: ‘US failure to look into Saudi role in 9/11 has helped Isis’
Sunday 14 September 2014

The rise of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) has been aided by the continuing failure of the US Government to investigate the role of Saudi Arabia in the 9/11 attacks and its support of jihadi movements such as al-Qaeda in the years since, says former Senator Bob Graham, the co-chairman of the official inquiry into 9/11.

Senator Graham, who chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that successive administrations in Washington had turned a blind eye to Saudi support for Sunni extremists. He added: “I believe that the failure to shine a full light on Saudi actions and particularly its involvement in 9/11 has contributed to the Saudi ability to continue to engage in actions that are damaging to the US – and in particular their support for Isis.”

President Obama Al Saud has a plan to keep America safe……

In an address to the nation, Obama also announced he was dispatching nearly 500 more U.S. troops to Iraq to assist that country’s besieged security forces. And he called on Congress to authorize a program to train and arm rebels in Syria who are fighting both the Islamic State group and Syrian President Bashar Assad.

Saudi Arabia, a crucial U.S. ally in the Middle East, offered to host the training missions, part of Obama’s effort to persuade other nations to join with the U.S. in confronting the militants.

LOL! Yes, we and our Saudi friends are going to arm and fund and train the “nice” jihads. The “nice” jihads who are of course not “terrorists”, but “rebels”, will then kill the evil terrorists, and take out Assads’ Government all at the same time.

And if Assad tries to defend himself………

AP sources: US would retaliate against Assad

WASHINGTON (AP) — The United States would retaliate against Syrian President Bashar Assad’s air defenses if he were to go after American planes launching airstrikes in his country, senior Obama administration officials said Monday.

Officials said the U.S. has a good sense of where the Syrian air defenses, along with their command and control centers, are located. If Assad were to use those capabilities to threaten U.S. forces, it would put his air defenses at risk, according to the officials, who insisted on anonymity in order to discuss the administration’s thinking on the matter.

The mere discussion of launching strikes in Syria has highlighted the complexity of taking U.S. military action inside a country locked in an intractable civil war. The conflict has created odd alliances, with both the U.S. and the Assad regime now fighting the Islamic State militant group.

This is the bizarre world I live in now, where creating enemies and arming crazies, is supposed to “keep me safe”. A cost of the massive failure of “9-11 truth”, which focuses on “missiles hitting the pentagon”, “Saudis being framed by the Jooos”, controlled demolition, holograms, space beams, and other nonsense as the world goes up in flames.

Is the 9-11 cover up about to boil over?

Yesterday, CNN’s Michael Smerconish concluded his weekly show with a segment on those still-classified 28 pages that document indications of foreign government financial support of the 9/11 terrorists. He ended with a direct plea: “Mr. President, please release the 28 pages before we mark yet another 9/11 anniversary.”

On his SiriusXM radio show on Friday, Smerconish talked to Senator Rand Paul, former senator Graham and 28Pages.org director Brian McGlinchey about the campaign to declassify the pages.

Paul, who in June introduced Senate Bill 1471, which presses the president to declassify the material, said, “There are things in the 28 pages that everybody should be allowed to read and make their own decision on.” Speaking more broadly about the ongoing scourge of Middle East terrorism, Paul said, “Frankly, I think Saudi Arabia has been part of the problem with regard to ISIS, with indiscriminately putting arms into the Syrian civil war…so have the Qataris.”

Paul’s sentiments echo Graham’s previous assertion that the continued secrecy of the 28 pages—by shielding scrutiny of Saudi funding of Islamic extremism—enabled the rise of ISIS.

McGlinchey pointed out that presidential candidates Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz have both admitted they haven’t read the 28 pages and that Jeb Bush—whose brother famously classified them—said he’s never heard of them.

McGlinchey also noted that Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and John Kerry were among 46 senators who signed a 2003 letter to George W. Bush urging him to declassify the 28 pages, and wondered what actions they took on the issue upon ascending to positions in the Obama White House. Smerconish resolved to ask them if presented with the opportunity.
